Man Hospitalized After Falling 8 Feet Into Hole in Clarendon: Report
The fire department shut down 10th Street N during the rescue.

A man fell 8 feet into a trench of some sort in front of a fire station in Clarendon, and has been pulled out and taken to the hospital, according to a report.
ARLnow.com reported that Arlington County firefighters responded to the area in front of Fire Station No. 4 on 10th Street N at around 1:30 p.m. It's not clear exactly what kind of hole the man fell into, but Google Maps shows an area on the sidewalk covered by some sort of paneling. The man may have been a construction worker.
The Arlington County Fire Department was able to get him out of the trench and send him to George Washington University Hospital, according to the report. The fire department shut down 10 Street N during the rescue.

A commenter said that construction workers had been doing sewer or electrical work for the past week, and that dozens of firefighters responded to the scene.
