Man Injured In Shooting In Arlington's Green Valley Neighborhood

Arlington County police said the shooting happened just before 3 a.m. Saturday when the victim was approached by five suspects.

ARLINGTON, VA — A man was hospitalized Saturday following an early-morning shooting in Arlington's Green Valley neighborhood, authorities said.

According to Arlington County police, authorities received a call just before 3 a.m. about shots fired near the intersection of 23rd Street South and South Kenmore Street. When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Investigators determined the man was outside when he was approached by five male suspects. At some point during the incident, police said one of the suspects fired a gun and struck the victim before fleeing the scene.

Police have not determined what led up to the confrontation or the shooting.
