Police Charge 2 In Westmont Grand Larceny Case
Arlington County Police charged two suspects on multiple counts for taking merchandise from a Westmont business Saturday night.
ARLINGTON, VA -- Arlington County Police arrested two suspects and are still looking for a third involved in a Saturday night grand larceny case in Westmont, according to ACPD's daily crime report.
Police say that the three suspects were observed entering a business at 3600 Columbia Pike on Jan. 25, around 11:49 p.m., and taking merchandise and then leaving without paying. The suspects, whom police say resembled suspects in a prior case, fled the scene in a vehicle. A lookout call was placed and a patrol officer found the vehicle in a parking lot.
The officer attempted to make contact with the occupants of the vehicle, but the driver attempted to leave the location, hitting two vehicles in the process. Police removed one of the suspects from the vehicle and took him into custody. The other suspects fled on foot. Police located the second suspect and took him into custody. The third suspect remains at-large.

While investigating the incident, officers found stolen merchandise inside the vehicle. The first suspect, identified as Kentrell Devaughn, 26, of Washington, D.C., was linked to a prior larceny case. He was arrested and charged with two counts each of Grand Larceny and Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny; Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Destruction of Property greater than $1,000. The second suspect, Jeffrey Keith, 54, of Washington, D.C. was charged with Grand Larceny and Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny. Both were held without bond. ACPD is continuing to investigate this case.
