Ray's The Steaks Parent Company Files for Bankruptcy Again: Report
The Arlington eatery is popular among locals, and its sister restaurant, Ray's Hell Burger, even drew the president.

ARLINGTON, VA — The man behind the popular Arlington eatery Ray's The Steaks is battling financial difficulties again, as the parent company of the restaurant has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for the second time in the past two years, according to a report.
The Washington Business Journal reports that MLRG Inc., which lists its address as 2300 Wilson Blvd., the same address as the restaurant, has listed assets and liabilities between $500,000 and $1 million. Michael Landrum is the owner of Ray's The Steaks and Ray's Hell Burger in Rosslyn.
The restaurant is not in any danger of closing, the report adds.

Two companies associated with the restaurant, including MLRG, filed for bankruptcy protection in 2015, but that was withdrawn after a settlement with the landlord of the Ray's Hell Burger in D.C.
Ray's the Steaks and Ray's Hell Burger have excellent reputations for the food, and the latter even got a visit from President Barack Obama, but the business side hasn't been so smooth, leading to conflicts with landlords.
