Sharp-Dressed Bank Robber: Authorities Say He's Hit Two Banks

Suspect robbed bank Thursday in DC, Nov. 10 in Arlington. Both robberies took place close to 4 p.m.

Police say a man is believed to be responsible for two bank robberies: one that occurred Thursday near Dupont Circle in DC and another on Nov. 10 in Arlington’s Ballston neighborhood.

The sharp-dressed man is pictured wearing a suit, aviator sunglasses and in yesterday’s robbery, a scarf casually draped around his neck and shoulders.

On Thursday, at approximately 3:56 p.m., a man robbed the Premier Bank located at 1604 17th St., NW, in Washington, D.C. The subject approached the victim teller, passed a note that demanded money and threatened a weapon. After obtaining a sum of money he fled the bank.

On Monday, Nov. 10, at approximately 4 p.m., a male subject robbed the Presidential Bank located at 901 N. Stuart St. in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington. The subject entered the bank through a set of doors closest to the Ballston Metro station, approached a bank teller and passed a note that demanded money. The subject exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Thursday’s bank robbery was about a 7-minute walk to the Dupont Circle Metro station.

Reward

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robber. The FBI notes that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
