Student With Firearm Leads To Lockdown At Arlington School: Police

ARLINGTON, VA — Administrators at the Langston High School Continuation Program placed the school on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after they found a firearm in a student's possession on school grounds.

Around 2:35 p.m., Arlington County Police responded to the alarm at the school located in the 2100 block of N. Culpepper Street. The responding officers took possession of the firearm and arrested 18-year-old Tashawn Carter of Arlington.

Police charged Carter with possession of a weapon on school property and carrying a concealed weapon. He was then held without bond.
