Watch: Blue Angels, Thunderbirds Flyover In DC, Northern Virginia

The Navy and Air Force demonstration squadrons flew over the area around mid-day Saturday. Here's what it looked like.

WASHINGTON, DC — To show national unity and honor front-line workers amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds dispatched their demonstration jet squadrons to DC for a flyover Saturday.

As scheduled from 11:45 a.m. to 12:05 p.m., the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds flew over parts of DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland. Health care workers stood outside area hospitals to receive their salute, while local residents came out to locations like the National Mall to see the display.

The route took the jets over Prince George's County into DC and looping around Montgomery County, Maryland before making a pass into Northern Virginia. The DC flyover followed a pass in the Baltimore area and preceded a flyover in Atlanta. Saturday's flyover is part of the "America Strong" tour previously announced by President Trump.
