• Startup eyes space-based solar power (arkansasonline.com) — A space-solar startup working out of Ashburn is racing toward a 2028 demo of satellites that would beam infrared "power" down to Earth, potentially letting solar panels work day and night. From a lab tucked amid Ashburn's data centers, scientists are testing films, lasers and metals that could one day supply massive clean power to AI-hungry facilities, though experts still question the costs, safety and feasibility.
