Police: Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle Early Sunday on Route 7
Driver arrested after accident in Cascades area, says Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Loudoun County police arrested a Germantown, Md., woman after she struck a pedestrian with her vehicle early Sunday morning on Route 7.
The pedestrian was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and later released, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision occurred at about 5 a.m., a police report said. The driver, Tazeen M. Qureshi, 35, was driving a 2008 Honda Accord westbound on Route 7 between Campus Drive and Cascades Parkway when she struck the pedestrian, who was walking in the area of the roadway.
Qureshi remained at the scene and was arrested for DUI, the police report said. She was being held Monday on a $5,000 bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center in Leesburg.
