Police: Thief Steals Items From Sterling Store

Unidentified man is on the loose after shoving store worker, says Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Loudoun County police are looking for a man who stole unidentified merchandise Thursday afternoon from a store in Sterling.

The larceny and assault occurred at 3:47 p.m. at a store in the 46200 block of Potomac Run Plaza, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The unidentified man was concealing merchandise and attempting to leave when he was approached by a store employee. The man pushed the employee and fled the store, the police report said.

The suspect is described by police as a white male with short brown hair and a medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, black shoes and a gray jacket with blue shoulders at the time of the theft.
