Bruins Blown out of the Playoffs
The Bruins get eliminated by the Patriot Pioneers last night
The Bruins faced off against the Patriot Pioneers, a team with 14 wins and 8 losses who simply turned out to be the better team last night, winning 5-0 against Lake Braddock. Lake Braddock entered Friday night’s game with an 18-5 record and they looked more like pretenders, rather than contenders. What started off as a promising game for Lake Braddock died the moment they blew a chance at a grand slam. Senior Ryan Tobin whacked a huge hit in the bottom of the first inning with the bases loaded. What looked like a grand slam fell short of the wall behind the outfield, and landed harmlessly into the gloves of Pioneer in deep left field. That play right there, was the last time Lake Braddock had a serious chance at getting points, along with several bad calls by the umpires calling several outs that probably weren’t accurately called.
