The program will include vocal and instrumental music and scripture emphasizing His mission and love of all mankind, his willing sacrifice and resurrection for us, with focus on praise and gratitude for our Savior. Music will include the “Hallelujah Chorus”, “Amazing Grace”, “How Great Thou Art”, “Christ the Lord is Risen Today”, and numerous other hymns. Speaking of the choir, Don Weber, the choir’s vice president of public relations, stated “The choir members bring both their love of music and their love of God to the program and invite the spirit into the program. The feeling is absolutely palpable.”

Founded in 1980, the Mormon Choir of Washington DC is comprised of over 80 volunteer members from Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia and West Virginia. David Hardin, associate director for the choir, reflected “The fact that we have several members of the choir who have been with us since the inception (36 years ago) speaks to the love of music and level of dedication of our members. We love the Lord and we love the music and it is very apparent in our performances.”

With a mission to worship God through heartfelt music and to testify of Him and His work, the choir has performed at the White House, Strathmore Music Center, Fort McHenry, DAR Constitution Hall, the Washington Monument, Kennedy Center, Washington National Cathedral and many other religious and civic venues throughout the greater Washington DC area. In addition to participating in music festivals sponsored by the Interfaith Council of Washington DC, each year the choir helps inaugurate the annual Christmas Festival of Lights at the Washington DC Temple Visitors’ Center.

The choir invites the community to join them in this celebration. All concerts are free and open to the public.
