BRYC Wins Bethesda Soccer Tournament
The girls' soccer team, which includes players from Centreville and Clifton, wins tournament.

The BRYC Elite, a U13 girls travel soccer team from the Braddock Road Youth Club, was crowned champion of the Bethesda Thanksgiving Tournament for a second year in a row this past weekend.
BRYC defeated top teams from Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts in a field that included the top-ranked U13 team in the country, the YMS Explosion. In its age group, the Elite is currently ranked number one in Virginia by both soccerincollege.com and gotsoccer.com.
Players on the BRYC Elite roster represent various communities in Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and Montgomery counties, including Annandale, Ashburn, Burke, Centreville, Chevy Chase, Clifton, Fairfax, Gainesville, Herndon, Manassas, Springfield, and Vienna.

“We’re fortunate to draw very talented and motivated players from throughout the D.C. area,” said coach Jim Abt, who played at James Madison University and has coached soccer for more than 25 years at the club, high school and collegiate levels. “I’m very proud of our accomplishments this past year. We’re looking to build on this success during the off-season as we continue to strengthen our roster of players and prepare for league and tournament competition next spring.”
