CENTREVILLE, VA — Fairfax County police detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a man they say committed a string of recent burglaries in the Centreville area while nude, according to authorities.

Officers responded around 4:30 a.m on Saturday to the 14700 block of Ealing Court in Centreville to investigate a burglary in progress.

"The victim was awakened by her dog barking and observed a fully nude man inside her home," according to the incident report. "The suspect fled before officers arrived. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation."

Investigators were able to link Saturday's burglary to a series of similar incidents that occurred in the same neighborhood, according to police. In each case, the suspect entered the home via an unsecured door.

  • March 5, 5:15 a.m. – 14800 block of Bodley Square, Centreville. The victim was getting ready for work when the suspect entered a bedroom and fled the residence when confronted.
  • March 6, 5:30 a.m. – 14800 block of Leicester Court, Centreville. A resident discovered a footprint on a trash can that had been moved against a fence and is believed to have been used to climb into the backyard. Evidence indicated an attempted burglary at the residence.
  • March 7, 4:30 a.m. – 14700 block of Ealing Court, Centreville. The victim was awakened by her dog barking and saw the nude male suspect inside the residence before he fled.
  • March 8, 3:30 a.m. – 6300 block of Paddington Lane, Centreville. The victim heard footsteps in the hallway and saw the nude suspect standing in a doorway before he fled.

Police described the suspect as a Black man of average build, with light or medium complexion, who is between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-10 tall.

Investigators believe the same suspect committed all four burglaries. Officers are conducting targeted enforcements in the neighborhood as part of the investigation.

Relative Layout Of Burglary Addresses

These streets are clustered together within a few blocks of each other, primarily accessed via Paddington Lane:

  1. 6300 block of Paddington Lane: This is the main thoroughfare for this section of the neighborhood. It runs north-south.
  2. 14800 block of Bodley Square: Located just off Paddington Lane. If you are traveling south on Paddington from Stone Road, Bodley Square is a small loop/court on your left.
  3. 14800 block of Leicester Court: This court sits directly adjacent to Bodley Square. They are essentially "sister" courts sharing the same side of Paddington Lane.
  4. 14700 block of Ealing Court: This is located just to the west/southwest of the others. It is a short walk (less than 0.2 miles) from the Bodley/Leicester area.

Strategic Landmarks

  • London Towne Elementary School: All four addresses are within walking distance (approx. 0.3–0.5 miles) of the school.
  • Route 29 (Lee Highway): Located just to the south. You can reach any of these addresses by turning onto Paddington Lane directly from Route 29.

Police ask anyone with home or vehicle security cameras to review surveillance footage for any suspicious activity, especially during the early morning hours between March 5 and March 8.
