Burglars Steal Video Game System

A look at some recent crimes in the Sully District.

The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary: A home in the 6000 block of Honnicut Drive in Centreville was burglarized some time between 10:30 a.m. and just after noon on Thursday, June 30. Preliminary investigation determined a video game system was missing and entry was forced through a window. The suspect was described as black, between 16 and 20 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, with black hair and an afro hairstyle.

  • Baton Rouge Court: Wallet and cell phone stolen from vehicle
  • Intersection of Billingsgate Lane and Stone Road: License plate stolen from vehicle
  • Darter Court: Change stolen from vehicle
  • Generals Court: Tools stolen from vehicle
  • Newton Patent Court: Jewelry stolen from residence
  • Ox Road: Purse stolen from vehicle
  • Penwith Court: License plate stolen from vehicle

  • Westone Plaza: Camera and cell phone stolen from vehicle

Arrests: Kyle Alexander Guthrie, 21, was arrested on two counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer, judge, doctor or emergency personnel on June 30th. He was also charged with resisting arrest, not reporting an accident that caused more than $250 in damage, a first offense DWI, and driving without a license. 

On July 5th, Tyler Latham, 20, was charged with being drunk or profane in public and intentional damage to a monument greater than or equal to $1,000.
