Centreville High School Cross Country News

Strong performances for Bobby Dunn, Jackie O'Shea and others at the kickoff invitational.

The kicked off their cross-country season at the kick-off invitational at here in Centreville on Thursday, August 30th.  

Bobby Dunn and Jackie O'Shea scored third place finishes in both the boy's and girl's sophomore races, respectively. McKinsey Smith also ran well in the girl's sophomore race, with a fifth place finish. Senior Rebecca Vinter placed fifth in the girl's junior/senior race, with fellow senior Isabella Medina finishing in the top 15 as well.  

The top finisher for the boy's junior/senior race was senior Calvin Jones. The top finishers for CVHS in the freshmen races were Aidan Barnes for the boys and Kayley Bogemann for the girls. The runners of the week were junior Ashley Lawrence and freshmen Joshua Roller and Nicho Stevens.

The CVHS XC team is scheduled to compete again this Saturday, September 8th, at the Monroe Parker Invitational at Burke Lake Park at 8 a.m.
