The Wildcat wrestling team entered and began the day in the Appalachian Duals on fire, but by night fall those flames were quickly extinguished. In their opening round, Centreville clipped the wings of the Liberty High School Eagles, 67-6. Getting pins for the Wildcats were Chung Do Kim, Joey Nowak, Dillon Dull, Will Fulton, Tyler Love, , and Joey Steinbach.  It was a good win for the young Cats, but the Millbrook Pioneers were anxiously awaiting. The Pioneers jumped out to an early 27-point lead before Centreville got on the board with a decision from Tyler Love, the lone unbeaten Wildcat on the day.

Following Love’s win, three-time VA State Champion and nationally ranked Jacob Crawford bumped up a weight class to wrestle Centreville stand-out Ryan Sepulveda. Sepulveda, currently ranked 4th in VA and fresh off a run at a State Football Championship, lost a major decision to Crawford in the intriguing matchup. Millbrook easily cruised through the Wildcats on their way to winning the opening day pool and set themselves up for an Appalachian Duals Championship.
