Despite our human differences, the basic values of humanity are surprisingly similar. We may prioritize them differently in different cultures, different people may have different priorities, and we may ourselves change our priorities over our lifetimes or even day to day.
Asking who is right and who is wrong is, I think, a question that won’t get to the goals anyone really wants. It won’t increase any knowledge, and usually won’t change practice.
