Under , the varsity field hockey team took on in an away game on Tuesday, Aug. 30. Despite the valiant efforts of defender Megan McAuliffe (senior) and goalie Megan Kruse (junior), the Spartans defeated the Lady Wildcats 4-1.
There were 15 shots on goal and seven saves by Kruse. With a second half rally, the only score of the evening was made by Amanda Villanueva (senior) with an assist by several teammates.
The JV Lady Wildcats were defeated by the Spartans, 2-0. Standout players of the game were Brynn Doyle (link), Amber Winkeler (defender), Kelcie Greenfelder (mid-field) and Kelsey Daily (forward).
