Virginia Task Force 1 welcomed home after deployment for earthquake in Colombia (fox5dc.com subscription) — Members of Virginia Task Force 1 have just returned to Chantilly after a deployment to Colombia, where they helped assess damage and support rescue efforts following a deadly 7.4-magnitude earthquake. Family and friends greeted the Northern Virginia-based team Thursday night as they came home from their targeted mission, which focused on structural safety for homes, hospitals, and other critical buildings.
