• Pittsylvania County Public Safety Memorial planned for Chatham (wsls.com) — A new $250,000 Public Safety Memorial is planned just off Main Street in Chatham, honoring fire, rescue, and telecommunications personnel who have served Pittsylvania County. Funded through donations, grants, and purchasable engraved pavers, the pentagon-shaped memorial will feature granite walls with service logos and the names of all county fire and rescue organizations, with completion expected in fall 2027.
