• Additional charges expected against man in Altavista accused of inappropriate contact with minor (wdbj7.com) — Altavista Police report a recent arrest tied to alleged inappropriate contact and communication with a juvenile, and say more charges are expected as the investigation continues. The suspect, from Chatham, was taken into custody with help from regional agencies and is being held in Pittsylvania County Jail while state and local authorities continue their work.
