Literacy Volunteers of America-Prince William is seeking adults 18 and older to become volunteer tutors for the adult learners in our program. We help adults with English as a second language as well as with basic literacy needs through ESL classes, GED prep classes and a Citizenship Class. There are 1:1 tutoring opportunities as well as the chance to work with a class group. Prior to tutoring, individuals do need to attend our training workshop.
The workshop covers two days and both days are required. The first session is from 9-4 on 3/22/14 and the second session is from 9-12 on 4/5/14. Both are being held at the Chinn Park Library in the Trustees Room.
Registration is required and there is a $35 registration fee.
