$1 Million Cash4Life Prize Won By Alexandria Man

An Alexandria man won one of the major prizes in the Cash4Life game: a choice of $1,000 per week or a $1 million cash prize.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — There's no bad time to learn about a lottery win, especially one worth seven figures. It was 3:30 a.m. when an Alexandria man found out he won a choice of a lifetime, $1,000 per week or a $1 million cash prize.

Charles Corry played the Virginia Lottery's Cash4Life game and was notified by email that he won a prize through his online account.

With a choice between $1,000 every week for life or a one-time cash option of $1 million before taxes, he chose the latter.

Corry matched the first five numbers and only missed the Cash Ball number in the July 2 drawing to win the prize. The winning numbers were 1-9-12-13-20, and the Cash Ball number was 1. The only number he missed was the Cash Ball number. He used Easy Pick to randomly select the numbers for the drawing.

Cash4Life, Powerball, Mega Millions and instant lottery games are available online through the Virginia Lottery. The Cash4Life Drawings are held nightly at 9 p.m.
