ALDI Grocery Store Holding Hiring Event Next Week
Store is interviewing for positions at Alexandria stores. At least three are coming to the area soon.

ALDI, a low-price grocery chain, will host a hiring event for its new Alexandria and Springfield-area stores on Friday, Sept. 4., according to the company.

The grocery store chain has plans to open at least three stores in Alexandria:
- Low-Priced Grocer Coming to Alexandria
- New Grocery Store in the Works to Replace Giant on Monroe Avenue
- Mango Mike’s Building to Be Demolished for ALDI Grocery Store
Opportunities within ALDI include Store Associate and Manager Trainee positions, the company said. The hiring event is in support of the ongoing growth of ALDI in the area.

- What: ALDI hiring event for Alexandria and Springfield
- Who: ALDI representatives/local residents currently seeking employment opportunities
- When: Friday, Sept. 4; 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Where: Courtyard by Marriott - Alexandria Pentagon South, 4641 Kenmore Ave., Alexandria, VA 22304
- Positions: Store Associate - $12 per hour; Manager Trainee - $25 per hour
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday - Sunday
- Retail experience preferred
- Management experience preferred for Manager Trainees
- Drug screening and background check
- Ability to lift 45 pounds
