Alexandria Area Companies Make Inc. 5000 List In 2022

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The latest Inc. 5000 list, an annual look at the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., includes companies based in the Alexandria area.

Inc. magazine ranks the 5000 fastest-growing companies by percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021. Well-known companies such as Facebook (now Meta), Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft and Patagonia are previous honorees on the Inc. 5000.

"The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated," said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc., in a news release. "Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work, and rising to the challenges of today."

Companies can qualify for the list if they are U.S.-based, were founded and producing revenue by March 31, 2018 and had a minimum $100,000 revenue in 2018 and $2 million in 2021. On average, companies on the list have 192 percent growth and $19.6 billion in revenue. The list contains 25 newly founded companies and 167 repeat companies.

There were 258 companies from Virginia on the list. The top ranking Alexandria area company was Integrated Management Strategies at 76 thanks to its 5,271 percent growth. This firm offers health care and program management consulting and is based in Lincolnia just west of Alexandria City.

Other Alexandria area companies in the top 500 were OneZero Solutions at 111 (3,948 percent growth) and Bent Ear Solutions at 357 (1,635 percent growth). Others on the list include Aptive Resources at 656 (1,115 percent growth), Edmond Scientific Company at 1,686 (368 percent growth), Black Bear Technology Solutions at 2,346 (250 percent growth), Patriots International at 2,653 (215 percent growth), Aligned Technology Solutions at 2,698 (209 percent growth), NJI Media at 2,877 (189 percent growth), VIPdesk Connect at 2,901 (188 percent growth), Culmen International at 3,461 (151 percent growth), Expert Handyman and Remodeling at 3,590 (143 percent growth), Yes + Agency at 4,261 (108 percent growth), Mayvin at 4,502 (98 percent growth) and Lay-n-go at 4,836 (86 percent growth).
