Alexandria Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint Wednesday: Police
Second armed robbery in the City Wednesday; no word on whether the two are related.

The Alexandria Police Department said Wednesday they are investigating an armed robbery of a gas station in the 700 block of S. Patrick Street.
An employee at the Liberty Gas Station, at 700 S. Patrick St. (see map below) confirmed it was his business that was robbed Wednesday. A notification of the robbery was sent out by police just before 12 noon.
Police said two suspects, one with a gun, stole cash from the gas station.

Police were also investigating the robbery of a Verizon Wireless Store Wednesday on King Street, where two suspects, one with a gun, entered the store an attempted to rob the cash drawer, but only walked away instead an employee’s cell phone; no word on whether police believe the two robberies Wednesday are related.
There were no injuries in the gas station robbery, according to police. Expect police activity in the area.
