Alexandria Man Sentenced For Child Pornography Possession
According to prosecutors, the man had downloaded sexual explicit content involving minors and had a previous conviction for distribution.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — An Alexandria man was sentenced Wednesday in federal court to 10 years in prison for possession of child pornography.
James B. Clawson Sr., 59, of Alexandria, was convicted in August 2021. Clawson has a prior conviction of distribution of child pornography in federal court. Prosecutors say he was the administrator of an online forum for child sexual abuse material and sent this material to forum members.
The latest conviction resulted from a probation officer visiting Clawson's home during supervised release. According to prosecutors, the probation officer found a laptop and thumb drives in a hidden compartment with images and videos of sexually explicit content involving minors. The content was stored on his thumb drive and renamed based on the sexual conduct they showed.
