Alexandria Pet Of The Week: Frankie The Big Cuddle Buddy

ALEXANDRIA, VA — As the weather gets a little cooler, it's the perfect time to enjoy walks with your furry friend. If you're in the market for a new pet, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria has plenty of options to choose from.

One of the pets is Frankie, an American Bulldog who looks tough on the outside but is soft on the inside.

Hi, Future Friends! My name is Frankie, and I am a six-year-old American Bulldog. I may look big and tough, but in truth, I am just a big lovebug who sometimes forgets his size. Once I am comfortable with you, get ready. I will shower you with my excellent doggie kisses, and we will snuggle all day. I love everyone I meet and am happiest when I am with people, though I'm sometimes a little more particular about my pup friends, so I'd certainly like to meet any canine companions before I go home to my new family. As active as I can be, come the end of the day I turn into a big old couch potato.
