Alexandria Police Investigating Death of Baby Girl

She was rushed to the hospital Monday and died today. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

The Alexandria Police Department is conducting a death investigation of a female infant, according to a news release issued Saturday.

Around 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, officers responded to the 300 block of Pendleton Street to assist the Fire Department and medics with an unresponsive infant, according to police.

The baby was transported to the hospital. She died today (Saturday, Nov. 15), according to police. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
