Alexandria Residents Raising Funds for Spicy Ketchup

Alexandria residents David and Helen Beaudreau are trying to raise funds to launch Ketchung! Ketchup with Attitude.

The couple has started a Kickstarter account for their spicy ketchup in hopes of raising $6,500; so far they have raised $3,488 from 70 backers. The campaign continues through May 28.

Here’s part of their pitch:

We’re launching Ketchung! a specialty sauce, Helen (maiden name Chung) has been making. It’s a spicy ketchup, and hence named, Ketchung! It’s a blend of sauces, to match the blend of words. It’s spicy and flavorful. We also developed a BBQ version which we hope you’ll want to try as well.

We’re raising funds to produce the inaugural batch of Ketchung! and to complete the Ketchung! website.
