Alexandria Will Not Be Pursuing The Potomac Nationals
City staff looked into bringing the Potomac Nationals to Alexandria after the team expressed interest in finding a new stadium.

ALEXANDRIA, VAโPrince William County officials haven't reached a deal to keep the Washington Nationals' minor league affiliate in Woodbridge, but moving the team to Alexandria is no longer an option.
Alexandria city staff had looked into building a stadium for the Potomac Nationals but decided it was not feasible, Inside Nova reports. City spokesman Craig Fifer told the publication "the cost and scarcity of available land in Alexandria meant it would not be feasible for the city to provide the land for the stadium."
Team owner Art Silber has been vocal about pursuing a replacement for Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge. He is reportedly in talks with other localities about a new home for the team.
