Your kids can paint, sculpt and craft in a positive and supportive environment with small class sizes (just 10 kids per session). These week-long, half-day camps are hosted both mornings and afternoons for children ages 6 to 9 or 10 to 13. Classes are taught by an experienced and loved Fairfax County Public Schools art teacher. The annual Del Ray Tree Lighting is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. at the farmers market lot at Mt. Vernon and E. Oxford avenues. The night will feature a visit with Santa, hot chocolate and caroling (The Shrinemonters and the T.C. Williams choir will be performing).More than 2,000 luminarias will light up the Avenue in memory of Nancy Dunning. Items for Carpenter's Shelter will be collected in her memory.Look for decorated trees on the Avenue competing for Best Decorated Tree.
