Black Friday, Small Business Saturday Deals In Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA—If you're shopping for holiday gifts, consider shopping at some of Del Ray's fine local businesses. Consumers are encouraged to shop local on both Black Friday (Nov. 24) and Small Business Saturday (Nov. 25).

A number of businesses in Del Ray and across the city will offer special promotions for both days. Those confirmed to participate for two days are:

• Del Ray Artisans: 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue
• Purple Goose: 2005 Mount Vernon Avenue
• Top It Off: 1906 Mount Vernon Avenue

American Express launched Small Business Saturday to encourage shoppers to support small businesses hurting from the recession. Since then, Small Business Saturday has turned into an annual event featuring businesses across the country. In 2016, shoppers spent an estimated $15.4 billion at small, independent business on Small Business Saturday, according to American Express.
