Car Crash Knocks Over Traffic Light in Alexandria
A downed traffic light resulting from a car crash closed eastbound Duke Street at North Quaker Lane Thursday.
(Updated 3:42 p.m. Thursday) ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A Thursday morning car crash that brought down a traffic light closed eastbound traffic for part of Thursday on Duke Street at North Quaker Lane in Alexandria. No one was injured in the accident.
All eastbound lanes were initially closed after the crash. Westbound traffic was open. Drivers on Quaker Lane were not able to turn left during the eastbound lane closures. Drivers were encouraged to avoid the area and to seek alternate routes.

The accident comes after an unrelated incident in the area Wednesday where a broken tractor trailer blocked a lane on Duke Street at Quaker Lane.
