Car Flips Over, Hits Transformer In Alexandria

(Update: roads now open.) ALEXANDRIA, VA—A car appeared to flip over and hit a transformer on Braddock Road in Alexandria near the Bradlee Shopping Center.

Police did not say how many people were in the car, and if additional cars were involved. Authorities did say the accident resulted in non-life-threatening injuries.

The westbound lanes of West Braddock Rd are closed between North Quaker Lane and Marlee Way. Stay with Patch for more updates on the condition of the car's occupants and the cause of the crash.
