"Childhood Passions" Art Exhibit at Del Ray Artisans
Exhibit Dates: September 1 – October 1, 2017
What were you passionate about as a child that you don’t have much time for now? We’ve all had childhood dreams and passions. Things that we did that brought us complete joy without anyone telling us to do it. We did it instinctively because it was playful, fun, and made us feel alive. As we grow up, we tend to lose touch with the ability to play like a child and the experience of doing things for the sheer joy of doing things just for fun.
For this exhibit artists have created artwork that honors our childhood passions that we tend to lose sight of as we grow up. Join us at the opening reception on Friday, September 1 from 7-9pm to enjoy the artwork that captures the joy of a child and meet the curators, artists, and other art appreciators.
The Childhood Passions exhibit is at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22301. Gallery hours are: First Thursdays (April-September) 12-9pm, Thursdays 12-6pm, Fridays 12-9pm, Saturdays 12-9pm, and Sundays 12-6pm. The gallery is free, open to the public, and handicap accessible.
