City Of Alexandria: Alexandria Health Department To Host Free Flu Shot Clinic October 2

The Alexandria Health Department will host a free flu shot clinic on October 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., inside Francis C. Hammond Middle School (4646 Seminary Road). Parking will be available. Flu shots will be provided at no cost, and proof of residency or insurance will not be required. The clinic will be open to adults and children ages 6 months and older. The Alexandria Health Department encourages all members of the community to get a flu vaccine. The higher dose version of the flu shot for seniors will not be available at the clinic, but may be available through a pharmacy or healthcare provider.

Each participant must wear a mask over their nose and mouth at all times and maintain 6 feet of physical distance from others, except when necessary for flu shot clinic operations. Please do not attend if you are feeling sick, even with mild symptoms. Everyone is encouraged to bring a pen to complete forms and minimize shared materials.

Because a flu shot does not protect against COVID-19, and a COVID-19 vaccine does not protect against flu, it is important to get both shots. You can get a flu shot no matter how recently you may have had a COVID-19 shot.
