Create a Wallet, Belt or Creature at Grown-Ups Art Camp

Del Ray Artisans’ Grown-Ups Art Camp offers the chance to customize your own “art camp” this summer—just register for the art-filled workshops taught by local artists that fit into your schedule. Nearly 20 workshops to choose from include: techniques in painting, smart-phone photography, polymer clay, mixed media, book-making, journaling/ drawing, jewelry-making, leather-working, paper and fiber art, sculpture, and more.

“Beginning Leatherworking” workshop
Thursday, July 5, 6-10pm
Learn basic leather-working skills (leather casing, pattern tracing and cutting, embossing designs, staining, dying, and painting) and create a custom wallet. DelRayArtisans.org/event/beginning-leatherworking/

“Intermediate Leatherworking” workshop
Friday, July 6, 6-10pm
Learn intermediate leather-working skills while creating a custom belt. Students who have taken the requisite Beginning Leatherworking class will exercise their acquired leather casing, pattern tracing and cutting, embossing designs, staining, dying, and painting skills while learning additional techniques. “Needle Felted Creatures” workshop
Sunday, July 8, 1-3:30pm
Learn the basics of how to work with wool and needle felting needles to sculpt one-of-a-kind creatures ranging from owls, penguins, pigs, birds, pandas, and foxes. DelRayArtisans.org/event/needle-felted-creatures/
