Men Charged For String Of Crimes In DC Area, Alexandria
BREAKING: Four Washington, DC men were charged in 19 crimes around the area, including eight in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A federal jury has charged four Washington, DC men in 19 armed robberies around the area, including eight in Alexandria. The crimes occurred from Nov. 1, 2016 to April 12.
According to charges in the indictment, Desmar Rashad Gayles, Andrew Bernard Duncan, Anton Durrell Harris and Lamont Kortez Gaines committed 19 armed robberies of commercial establishments and three carjackings. Police discovered a firearm allegedly used in 10 of the robberies at Harris’ residence on April 13.

- Nov. 16, 2016: Robbery, 7-Eleven, 800 Franklin Street, Alexandria, VA
- Nov. 22, 2016: Robbery, 7-Eleven, 3023 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA
- Dec. 7, 2016: Robbery, 7-Eleven, 2002 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, VA
- Dec. 13, 2016: Robbery, 7-Eleven, 30 S. Reynolds Street, Alexandria, VA
- March 18, 2017: Carjacking, 501 Slaters Lane, Alexandria, VA
- March 19, 2017: Robbery, Domino’s Pizza, 5418 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA
- March 26, 2017: Robbery: 7-Eleven, 800 Franklin Street. Alexandria, VA
- April 8, 2017: Robbery, CVS, 503 King St, Alexandria, VA
All four suspects face a maximum sentence of life in prison. The charges are as follows:

The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia and the FBI, as well as Fairfax County, Arlington County, Alexandria, Bladensburg and Prince George’s County Police Departments announced the indictment. The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department assisted with the investigation.
