Del Ray's Reserve 2216 Restaurant Closes: Report
"The Reserve will be closing its current door at 2216 Mt. Vernon Avenue for a brief hiatus while we relocate."

Reserve 2216 restaurant has closed “for a brief hiatus,” Eric Reid and Darrell Bernard say, while they relocate to bigger digs.
The two said in a note on their Web site that the popular spot, which served up classic home cooking with a Southern twist, is looking for a larger location due to its popularity. The restaurant, with only 30 seats, was located at 2216 Mount Vernon Ave., above Del Ray Pizzeria. Reid tells Northern Virginia magazine that things were getting a little complicated too, with the City.
“We’ve had some zoning issues because the city was looking at us [Reserve 2216 and Del Ray Pizzeria] as two completely different restaurants, saying we have to have our own special uses, like off-street parking spaces,” Reid explained to the magazine. “The timing worked out perfectly, with zoning issues coming up and us needing to expand into a bigger place.”

“We’re really looking forward to finding a space and signing a lease soon,” Reid said.
On their Web site, the two say to “look for the skillet along The Avenue, or follow us on facebook or twitter to find out when & where our new home will open up to Del Ray!”
