Dog Days In Del Ray Is Theme For May First Thursday
First Thursday is going to the dogs, and we're ok with it.

Del Ray's second First Thursday is for all of the dog lovers out there. The "Dog Days in Del Ray" themed street festival will happen May 3 from 6 p.m. to dusk along Mount Vernon Avenue.
Bring your favorite four-legged friend out to the Avenue for a wide variety of canine-themed activities for dogs (and their humans!). The event is free and open to all.
Every month, the street festival benefits a different local cause. This month's nonprofit is the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, which provides shelter to animals in need and finds them homes. Attendees are asked to bring wet canned dog food, Kongs, puzzle feeders, bully sticks or other digestible dog chews, rope slip leashes, cans of tuna and salmon for cats, KBR formula, and kitten food. The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. Donations will be collected at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square (Mount Vernon and Oxford Avenues.
