Driver Crashes Vehicle Into Starbucks at Bradlee Shopping Center

A driver crashed into the Starbucks Sunday morning at the Bradlee Shopping Center in Alexandria.

At 10:30 a.m., the coffee shop was closed, but an employee said they expect to reopen today.

The early-morning crash took place at about 7 a.m., the employee said.

“I’m glad nobody was hurt,” the employee said, noting that often there are people sitting at a table where the crash occurred. “Thankfully nobody was sitting by the window.”

“It’s been an interesting morning,” the employee said.

Alexandria Police were on the scene, posting this message on Twitter: “This is not an approved drive thru at the Bradlee Starbucks! Thankfully, no injuries to those involved.”
