Ease Yoga & Cafe Now Open in Del Ray

Classes were set to kick off this week at Del Ray’s Ease Yoga & Cafe, located at 3051 Mt. Vernon Ave., part of Del Ray Central.

Cafe hours this week will be from 4-8:30 p.m. Next week, they’ll be from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Beginning May 25, the cafe hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Del Ray Business Association will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday, May 30 as part of the business’s grand opening that day.

Owner Tara Casagrande says Ease will be “a community gathering spot where people of all ages can eat well and stretch every day.”

Casagrande has been teaching private classes in the area the past five years and has a total of 15 years experience. She is a 2009 graduate of the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica.

The business interior was designed by by Alexandria firm Maginniss + del Ninno Architects, andit includes a juice bar, seating and high ceilings.

Ease Yoga & Cafe will offer yoga classes for all levels, as well as Chi Gong, Meditation, Children and Teen Yoga, Family Yoga, Infant Massage and Men’s Stretch and Breathe classes. See more information on classes here.

On the food front, you’ll see the following on the menu: Healthy smoothies, fresh-pressed juices, coffee and tea; also, expect to see vegetarian fare, artisan sandwiches and homemade kale chips.

The 2,600-square foot space will be filled with natural light from the large windows and there will be both indoor and outdoor seating.
