Final First Thursday Of Year To Have Team Spirit Theme
The street festival will wrap up for the year with a school supply drive for needy families.

Del Ray's last First Thursday street festival of 2018 will be a farewell to summer and hello to the new school year. The theme for the festival on Thursday, Sept. 6 will be "Show Your Spirit."
Participants are encouraged to wear team colors to the free event. There will be live music, themed activities and more at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square (Mount Vernon and Oxford Avenue) from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
Every month, First Thursday benefits a different non-profit. September's cause is a school supply drive for Community Lodgings, which seeks to help homeless people become self-sufficient and stable through transitional housing. See a full list of needed supplies here.
