Former Ambassador To Ukraine To Speak In Del Ray
Alexandria Library is hosting former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square this coming Monday.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — As the Russian-Ukrainian War continues, Del Ray will get a timely visit from former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch Monday.
Yovanovitch will be at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square (Mount Vernon and Oxford Avenues) at 7 p.m. on Monday. The former ambassador will speak about her memoir, "Lessons from the Edge," public service, and her efforts to help Ukraine with its civil society sector, strengthen its democratic institutions, and fight corruption. Before the event, Yovanovitch will sign copies of her memoir at Hooray for Books, 1555 King Street. The book will be available for purchase at the event.
Yovanovitch is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, won the Senior Foreign Service Performance Award eight times and earned the State Department’s Superior Honor Award nine times. She has numerous other awards for service, diplomacy, and human rights.
