Funds Raised For 3-Year-Old Killed In Alexandria Accident

The family of the 3-year-old is "grief-stricken" and unable to afford funeral services, according to the GoFundMe page.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—It's tragic enough that an Alexandria family lost their 3-year-old boy in a car accident, but even more so that they cannot afford a funeral. Alexandria residents may be able to lend a hand during their troubling time.

William Zuniga Leonor, 3, was killed Saturday, Sept. 23 when a car accidentally struck him in the street. The driver, a 32-year-old man, was driving south in the 3400 block of Executive Avenue when he hit the boy that ran into the street. Neighbors took the child to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.

According to a GoFundMe page set up by Alexandria resident Melissa Carolan Gouffray, "His grief-stricken family is unable to make service arrangements for their son due to the high costs of funeral & burial services."
