BREAKING: Alexandria Police found no threat after a 911 hang-up call at the school.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Alexandria Police found no threat at Francis C. Hammond Middle School Friday afternoon after a 911 hang-up call. The school was on lockdown Friday during the police investigation.
Alexandria Police say they checked on everyone inside the building and reported no injuries. It was unclear what the 911 call was regarding.
The school went on lockdown before noon, according to a notification from the school district. Classes continued, but students were not allowed to leave classrooms during the lockdown. The school will determine how classes will proceed for the rest of the day, police say.

Parents were urged to communicate with their children and let them know nobody was injured.
Following APD while we investigate the 911 hang-up call at @FCHammond? Also texting your student inside the school? Let them know that no injuries have been reported & it takes APD a long time to go through a school.
