Hit-And-Run Injures Pedestrian In Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA—A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run at Jefferson Davis Highway and East Glebe Road Saturday, Alexandria Police say.

The victim has non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. Police notified residents via social media shortly before 6 p.m. and continue to investigate. No further information is available.

A new city draft plan aimed at improving traffic safety has identified Jefferson Davis Highway as one of six corridors with a higher risk of serious and fatal crashes.
