Proceeds benefit charities from Alexandria and beyond.

Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill’s 18th annual Pumpkin fundraiser benefitting charities from Alexandria and beyond is currently underway.

The sale of pumpkins, which range in price from $1 to $30, runs every day through the end of October from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the church located at 3606 Seminary Road.

The sale benefits ALIVE!, Carpenter’s Shelter, Child and Family Network Centers and many more charities. Immanuel keeps none of the proceeds.

This fundraiser also benefits the Navajo of New Mexico. The pumpkins are grown on irrigated tribal lands in New Mexico using controlled farming conditions that produce an attractive annual crop.

Besides pumpkins, crafts, cookies, brownies, cake, candy, hearty soups, gourds, apple crisps, Indian corn and cornstalks are also available for sale. Jewelry from Montana's Crow Nation is also available. All proceeds from the jewelry go to the Crow people.
